In About Me

Let me introduce myself so we can get to know each other a little better. . .

My name is Kendra Maraman & I’m a stay at home mom empowering other moms to start their own fitness & nutrition business from home.

I was an overweight teenager (at almost 200 pounds) that felt like a failure until I discovered that I could change my life. It wasn’t anyone else that could do it for me. I had to change my mindset & just go for it!! My mom owned a bunch of Jane Fonda videos (you know who 80’s Jane Fonda was right?) so I played a step aerobics video & got through it! I ended up really loving the workouts so I kept going.

That was my junior year of high school & as I started losing weight my confidence soared!!

I lost 50 pounds, through clean eating & exercise, by the time I headed off to college & I felt amazing! I had confidence for the first time in my life! So I decided to major in nutrition & later went on to become a certified fitness trainer & group exercise instructor.

Being overweight has actually been a blessing in my life. I know that’s a crazy thing to say but I know exactly what if feels like to feel so empty & have people make fun of you. I know how much it hurts to be the “big kid”. It sucks. My struggle has led me to my strength.

Running my own business in fitness & nutrition is my total passion. I breathe it every. single. day. When people come to me for help with weight loss or starting their own business I get so excited because I can see the end of the tunnel for them & I help them see all the great possibilities ahead! I want them to believe in themselves, know that they are enough, & go for goals that they’ve only dreamed of!

So join me! If you’re a mom, newbie exerciser, wanna-be clean eater, or considering being a business entrepreneur then let’s get to know each other!! I’ll be posting recipes, motivation, stories, business tips, and more on this blog. I’d love to hear from you too!

I love this blog. I have had a life long problem with my weight. From 2011 -April 2015 I have had a stable weight of 61 kg’s . I exersise a lot and I’ve started to notice from about June that my weight has gone up. I’ve had issues with Eating disorders before and this weight gain is driving me insane. Everyone I speak to says I am putting on muscle but why now and not 3 years ago.

      Hi Daisy!
Thanks for the compliment! I’m sorry you’ve had such a difficult time with weight loss & eating disorders. You might be feeling frustrated but want to lose weight in a healthy way. I don’t want to give you advice but just want to encourage you!! Be confident in yourself, stay positive, & look for ways to build yourself up. A number on the scale doesn’t define you!!
